It’s a crazy Saturday night of shenanigans at our house! Just kidding. Whew scared me for a second that I would have to get ready and actually do something. We are chilling watching a movie before the kids go to bed and I enjoy a quiet glass of wine and read for a bit.
The rest of my week went by in a blur from my last update. I ended up getting mandated at work and having to work a 17 hour shift instead of the my scheduled 12 hour night shift. Needless to say, by the time I napped a couple hours and went to a softball game, I didn’t accomplish anything productive that day. I slept in Friday and worked a few hours to help out. Seems nurses are being asked to do more and more with less and less.
Today I went to the end of season flower sale at the local produce auction. I picked up a couple big beautiful hanging flower baskets, some ferns, and hydrangea bushes. Also got some red and orange bell pepper plants for the garden and some blueberry bushes to add to the orchard. We also brought up a dog house from my parents’ barn that my grandfather built years ago with a removable roof for cleaning and a nice front porch up and put in our fenced in chicken area. Our chickens then got moved out from the garage. Hopefully the full chicken coops gets built in the next month or so. Dinner was spaghetti, garlic bread and black raspberry cobbler.
Tomorrow we plan on going to church, then to the lake with the 4-H club, and home to do some planting in the garden.
